Research Project

Research participants are needed for my PhD Research Project. I am a doctoral student at National University. I am conducting a research study on the barriers administrators face when attempting to decolonize science curricula in higher education. 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

 ​

• An administrator at a college or university

• Working at a college or university in one of the following states:

  • Oklahoma

  • Nebraska

  • Arizona

  • California

  • New Mexico

  • Utah

  • Alaska

  • South Dakota

  • North Dakota

  • Wyoming

  • Oregon

  • Washington

  • Arkansas

  • Montana

  • Colorado

  • OR at a college designated as a NASANTI College/University?

• AND has been at this college for at least 1 year​

What is involved?

• A demographic survey (5 minutes max)

• An interview lasting between 15 and 45 minutes

• A follow-up email with a few questions, if new questions arise during another participant's interview

• Maybe providing some documents about classes

• Introduction (2-3 minutes)

  • Tell me about yourself and your institution​

• Decolonization (5-10 minutes)​

  • Are you familiar with the term?​

  • What are your feelings about traditional Western science and introducing other types of knowledge?

• Your Institution and Decolonization (5-15 minutes)​

  • It's ok if your college hasn't decolonized.​

  • If you have, I will ask about that process.
